This advanced treatment is a step above standard pressure treatments and is highly recommended in Australia for applications such as fencing, decking, outdoor furniture, and gazebos. By choosing ACQ-treated timber, we ensure that your cabin is not only durable but also able to withstand Australia’s unique conditions.

A Note on Quality
While some sellers may advertise cheaper cabins, they often use untreated or thin timber walls and framing. Untreated timber is highly vulnerable to termite damage, which can severely impact the longevity and integrity of the structure. At My Cozy Cabins, we priorities quality to deliver long-lasting value and peace of mind.

All our cabins (excluding our 6.5sqm/28mm budget cabin) are made with 36mm thick timber walls, roof and floor beams. (18mm thick floor and roof boards)

Some of our competitors that are using Western Red Cedar, claim that their timber cabins are superior to Nordic Pine because of their natural resistance to rot and termite attack, yet the boards they use are only 18mm thick. 36mm thick fully ACQ treated pine offers a much thicker, heavier, and more robust structure that is considered ideal for a cabin-style construction, provided it is treated properly. Our timber cabins being 100% ACQ treated, really does set us apart from many of our competitors.

The internal fibreglass reinforcement is coated with a bituminous compound to ensure exceptional waterproofing, while the ceramic-coated basalt granule finish adds a stylish appearance and provides robust protection from the sun’s harsh rays – a perfect solution for the Australian climate.

Compared to metal roofing, asphalt shingles offer superior acoustic insulation, minimising noise during rain. They are also highly resistant to severe weather conditions, strong winds, colour fading, and hail.

At My Cozy Cabins, our solid timber construction offers natural insulation properties that far surpass those of Colorbond metal sheds or homes.

The asphalt shingle roof tiles are designed with highly reflective granules in the top layer, effectively reflecting heat away from the roof and minimising heat transfer into the building.

Our cabins are thoughtfully designed with large front doors and windows on both sides to maximise airflow, ensuring a comfortable and breezy interior, even on the hottest Australian days.

Additional Insulation Tip: You can further enhance your cabin’s insulation by adding insulation material between the floor frame beams before installing the floorboards.
